The Nerve! is done. Sounds like bad news, but truth is this is a wonderful and welcome happening. I have no regrets. 10 years of everything I had went into that, I've got 3 cds, a few vids, a bunch of write-ups, endorsements, a wealth of knowledge, a tattoo on my leg that says it all, and a new last name that I think fits rather well. Learned more in that band than anywhere else in my life and had an incredible amount of awesomely fun times. The good times ended, and it's time to move on. Proud to have survived. Proud that I never hit Randy. :) Happy that he never hit me, either. We're still friends, too. Since Bumblefoot started playing with Guns n" Roses, all shows with him have come to a halt. We may do a local show or 2 when he gets time off, but until Chinese Democracy comes out and they finish that tour, I don't think we'll be making up for the European cancellations. A new Bbft album will be in the making soon and I hope to have some contributions to it. We'll see. For now I'm just kikkin back... goin where the flow takes me... Got a couple of shows at Winter NAMM again with Alexa Vetere in mid January. I've been doing a bunch of covers with a band called Group Therapy in SI for fun and money, and I'm just a front-person away from the completion of what I'm sure is to be the #1 RHCP tribute band on the east coast (there are no others). Sir Psycho Sexy. We did a show ala Karaoke December 16th and we're patiently waiting for the right gal or guy to present themselves and take center stage. If ya know anyone, please send em my way. Also doing a handful of shows with Micheline (my favorite Belgian singer), in January. Life is good. I love playing bass. News: Summer 2006
Hi Friends, Lots of good stuff happening. Bumblefoot has been asked to play guitar for Guns n' Roses, so our European tour has been postponed until sometime in the fall or early winter. We will be performing on August 17th @ Southpaw in Brooklyn, details at www.bumblefoot.com . The Nerve! is doing a handful of summer shows, you can check the gigs page here, or visit The Nerve! website for updates. When those shows are done The Nerve! is taking a much needed break until further notice. The wonderful people at Minarik Guitars have offered to design a "Joe Nerve" bass built to my specs. It's in it's final stages, should be a part of my arsenal by August. I've got a little extra time this summer so I'm going to dive into some other projects that I won't talk about until they're off the ground. Basically, I'm looking forward to a wonderful music and fun filled summer. I wish you all the same. Joe |
